Why some brochures end up in trash bins while others don’t?

Brochure’s today play a very important role in marketing your product. Brochures can be sent by mail, handed out in person on streets, kept at various shops for people to pick, etc. Many a times, you see people picking a brochure, glancing at it and trashing it right away. It’s not very difficult to comprehend the action; the brochure was unattractive and didn’t appeal to the potential customer. Hence, it is of utmost importance that you print brochures that appeal to your customers to make the money spent on making them worth the expense.
During the brochure printing is vital to keep a few things in mind:
1.    Choose the right finish
Brochures can be printed in either a gloss or matte finish. Each has its advantages. Gloss finish brochures lend an appealing and attractive look. In addition, if your brochure has too many dark colors then this finish will also manage to avoid finger smudges. A Matte finish is apt for professional looking brochures.
2.    Get the right paper
The difference in cost between 80lb stock paper and 100lb stock paper is insignificant; however, the difference in making an impression on your customer is massive. The thicker the paper the better it feels; thick brochures portray you as a successful and professional organization to your customers, compared to thin and flimsy paper material.

3.    Creativity is the key
When designing the brochure keep in mind the occasion it is being used for. If your brochure is launching a new product then try to use colors that will make your product stand out on the brochure instead obscuring them. Also, use colors that compliment your company logo. Fonts also can be of different sizes and types, (so long as you don’t overindulge).
Remember a brochure can only work when it is able to grab the attention of a person instantly. So think different and be creative.
